New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a fresh case against former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members for allegedly taking land from candidates in lieu of jobs in railways.
The alleged scam dates back to when Lalu Prasad Yadav was a Union minister in the United Progressive Alliance government. Officials said the CBI had registered a preliminary inquiry into the allegations which has been converted into an FIR. After registering FIRs against Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, daughters Misa and Hema, besides several other candidates, the CBI conducted searches at 16 places in Delhi, Patna and Gopalganj this morning.
