Jalandhar: Denying its involvement in the recent recovery of RDX explosive, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, belonging to the pro-Khalistan Sikh for Justice (SFJ) outfit, has said that they do not plant bombs but have trained ‘Sikhs as weapons’ to counter nefarious governments in the elections.
“Deliver this message to Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta and Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh that under the Khalistan referendum campaign, we have made ‘Sikhs as a weapon’ in Punjab who do not plant explosives but are equipped with meticulous knowledge of law and order to annihilate dastardly governments by votes in elections,” a recorded message in Punjabi said.
The calls have been made to Punjabis from a foreign number and the caller identified himself as Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of SFJ after the Punjab police found a Tiffin Box fabricated into an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) or Tiffin Bomb along with five hand grenades and 100 rounds of 9mm pistol recovered from village Daleke, Lopoke in Amritsar. DGP Gupta suspected foreign hands in the terror act.
Earlier, this SFJ outfit, through similar calls, had threatened Punjab CM Amarinder and Governor VP Singh Badnore, to perish them if they the Indian tricolour the occasion of Independence Day on August 15th, Pannun was reportedly heard saying in an audio clip adding that at a time farmers are dying, the hoisting of tricolour shall not be tolerated.
