NIA arrests six, including Khalistani supporters, during nationwide raids

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested six persons in connection with links cases between criminal gangs, terror groups and the drug mafia on Thursday.

The arrests came after the NIA raided 76 locations across eight states on Tuesday to unearth the nexus. Those arrested include Lucky Khokhar alias Denis, a close associate of Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala.

The other persons arrested in raids conducted in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh included associates of gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Goldy Brar. Khokhar, a resident of Bathinda in Punjab, was arrested from Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan on Tuesday.

The NIA said he was in direct and constant touch with Arsh Dala and had recruited for him, besides receiving funds for terror-related activities.

Besides Khokhar, the NIA has also arrested Lakhvir Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder alias Chiku Chaudhary and Hari Om alias Titu.
