New Delhi: India recorded 1,61,386 people infected with the Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours.
This took tally of total postive cases to 4.16 crore.
According to the Union Health Ministry data, the death toll rose to 4,97,975 with 1,733 fatalities reported in a day.
In a relief, there is decrease in active cases by 1,21,456 to reach 16,21,603 – 4.2 per cent of the total infections.
Meanwhile, total number of infections stands at 4,16,30,885 and vaccine doses administered so far has crossed 167.29 crore across the country.
