New Delhi: There has been some increase in corona cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, 918 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in India, the daily positivity rate is currently 2.08% while the weekly positivity rate is 0.86%.
The number of active cases of corona in India is currently 6,350. The active case rate currently stands at 0.01%.
However, in the last 24 hours, 479 patients of Corona have also recovered, with this the total number of people recovering from Corona has reached 4,41,59,182.
In the last 24 hours, 44, 225 tests of Korana were conducted in the country, including 92.03 crore tests so far. Talking about vaccination, a total of 220.65 crore (95.20 crore second and 22.86 crore first doses) have been given in the country so far. In the last 24 hours, 1,246 doses were given.
Earlier on Saturday, the country had recorded more than 800 cases of coronavirus infection in a single day after 126 days. Jharkhand and Maharashtra reported one death each, while Kerala reported two deaths, official data said on Saturday. Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat have the highest number of cases of the viral infection, the data shows.
India’s daily average new Covid cases have increased six-fold in a month. About a month ago (18 February), the average daily new cases were 112, while now this number has increased to close to 1 thousand.
