According to a new report, China may report one million cases per day in the coming days. Also, 5000 people can die from Corona in 24 hours. However, China is not disclosing its figures as usual. China has also stopped releasing Covid data.
The Bloomberg report cites data from Airfinity Ltd,a London-based analytics firm. The report says that ever since the zero Covid policy was removed, the new sub-variant of Omicron has become more aggressive. Due to this, the number of new cases of corona can reach 3.7 lakh within the next one month. In March, these figures can reach 4.2 million (45 lakh).
China has not released any detailed number of Covid infections, but the infection rate in Beijing could exceed 50 per cent, even as the number could exceed 70 per cent in the worst-hit areas.
The report said that the situation is serious. According to the report, the Omicron variant causes relatively few deaths, but due to the country’s large elderly population, this variant can give a huge blow to China.
According to the Bloomberg report, the recent outbreak of corona virus filled the hospitals of the Chinese capital. “Hospitals are full. Elderly patients with 104-degree fever have the option of waiting outside hospitals for six hours or going home. Many are choosing to go home.”
Chinese health officials announced only two additional deaths on Monday, the report said, adding that no one in China believes that the death toll is so low.
