Jalandhar: A 25-year-old youth was murdered in broad daylight at Jalandhar’s Nurmahal area here on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rohit Kumar of Khateek Mohalla in Nurmahal.
Following information of the crime, district police led by Jalandhar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveen Singla rushed to the spot.
According to the information, barged into the victim’s house on Tuesday morning and later opened two fires on him, which led to his death on the spot, police said.
Police said that investigation is underway but a preliminary investigation indicates that it might be a case of personal enmity.
A case has been registered \\under Section 302 (murder) and efforts are on to apprehend the accused.
