Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor recently reacted to the Karnataka hijab row on social media.
She asked why can’t a hijab be a choice if a turban can.
The hijab controversy is currently being debated across the country. Some people are supporting it, some people are opposing it.
Similarly, Sonam Kapoor shared a photo on her Instagram to express her opinion on the hijab issue.
She posted a story on her Instagram account, in which on one side the Sikh politician from Canada, wearing a turban, on the other hand a woman is seen wearing a hijab. with a caption “Sikh youth can wear a turban, so why can’t a Muslim woman wears hijab?” she wrote while comparing the turban to the hijab.
Many social media user have criticised the actress for this comparison and sought apologizes from the actress while some also came in her support.
