New Delhi: Single-phase elections in Goa and Uttarakhand will be held today.
632 candidates are in the fray for 70 seats in Uttarakhand and 301 aspirants are contesting for 40 seats in Goa assembly constituency.
This time, Goa is witnessing a multi cornered competition as AAP and TMC have fielded their candidates against BJP and Congress parties.
In Uttarakhand, AAP is contesting on all 70 seats, which witnessed bipolar contests between BJP and Congress in previous elections.
Similarly, Uttar Pradesh, polling for second phase of assembly election has begun in 55 seats in the nine districts.
A total of 586 candidates are in the fray in this phase as the fate of all these will be captured in the EVMs today.
The main contest is between the BJP, SP BSP and Congress.
