Chandigarh: In a major action, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Bathinda (Rural) Amit Rattan has been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau on Wednesday late night in connection with the bribery case.
The move came after Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given the green signal for action against AAP MLA on Wednesday after call recording related to the bribery case confirmed his voice sample in the forensic examination by the Vigilance.
Following the lab report, the Chief Minister directed the Vigilance to take immediate action against the MLA.
Recently, MLA’s alleged PA Risham Garg was arrested while accepting Rs 5 lakh bribe.
The political activity of MLA Amit Rattan from Bathinda Rural constituency was missing and the opposition parties have sounded the bugle against the MLA.
Officials said that the Chief Minister had yesterday asked the Vigilance to collect all the evidence against the MLA.
