US will protect Taiwan from Chinese aggression: Biden

Beijing: President Joe Biden has said that US security forces will protect Taiwan if China tried to attack them. China claims this autonomous island. In a recent interview when Biden was asked, “If China attacks Taiwan, will the US security forces, American men and women protect it?”

In response, Biden said ‘yes’. A news report said that after the interview, the White House said that there has been no change in US policy. Under this policy, the US believes that Taiwan’s case should be resolved peacefully, but the policy does not say whether American forces can be sent in the event of a Chinese attack.
