Washington: US President Joe Biden signed an order banning abortion in the country.
Biden acknowledged the limitations facing his office, however, criticised the Supreme Court order staying the constitutional right to abortion and urged people not to be disheartened by the verdict.
Biden government was under immense pressure of opposition after the historic decision to overturn Roe v Wade last month, which upended roughly 50 years of protections for women’s reproductive rights.
