Washington: The US has announced to provide new aid od $308 million im additional humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, which is facing a humanitarian crisis since the Taliban takeover around five months ago.
White House national security council spokesperson Emily Horne said in a statement that the new aid from the US Agency for International Development would flow through independent humanitarian organisations.
He said that the aid will be used to provide shelter, health care, winterisation assistance, emergency food aid, water, sanitation and hygiene services in the Afghanistan.
