Two gangsters arrested, one constable injured after brief encounter in Amritsar

New Delhi: Ahead of the republic day, two gangsters were caught after an encounter with the Special Cell of Delhi Police in Amritsar.

This encounter took place at a dhaba. Both gangsters were close aide of Canada-based gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa. A Delhi Police constable has also been injured in the firing.

According to officials, the two associates of Lakhbir Singh Landa have been identified as Rajan Bhatti, a resident of Gurdaspur in Punjab, and Kanwaljit Singh alias Chinna, a resident of Ferozepur.

Deputy Commissioner of Special Cell Manishi Chandra of Delhi Police said Bhatti was arrested by the police in an ongoing operation against the Khalistani terror-gangster nexus. He is one of the wanted gangsters of Punjab and a close associate of another fugitive criminal Landa Harike.
