New Delhi: In the Rajya Sabha, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today accused the Congress of playing politics over the farmers’ issue and adopting double standards on the farm laws.
Replying to a question from Congress member Deepender Hooda on the promise of minimum support price to farmers after last year’s farmers’ agitation, Tomar said during question hour in the Rajya Sabha that a committee has been set up to look into the proposal.
He said the committee is considering the minimum support price (MSP) and the committee also includes representatives of farmer unions.
