Tata Group’s Air India to buy 500 new aircraft soon, deal with Airbus and Boeing

New Delhi: After the purchase of Tata Group, a big and historic deal is being done by the country’s oldest airline company Air India.

Air India is going to add 500 new aircraft to its fleet very soon. According to a report, Air India has made a mega plan to buy 500 jets worth billions of dollars from Airbus and Boeing. Explain that this is an ambitious deal of the Tata Group. The Tata Group is going to revive Air India, under which this order has been placed.

Of these 500 new aircraft, more than 400 will be narrow-body jets and close to 100 aircraft will be wide-body. These include Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 and 777. However, Airbus and Boeing have not yet commented on this deal. The Tata Group also did not respond to a request for comment.

The Tata Group re-bought Air India from the central government in January and announced its comprehensive plan Vihaan.AI in September. This plan includes taking loss-making Air India on the path of affordable and profitable growth.
