Rohtak: Ahead of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh elections, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who ws lodged in Sunaria jail in Rohtak district of Haryana, got parole to come out of the jail.
He sought emergency parole to meet his ailing mother. He had recently applied for bail and sought a 21-day parole to meet his ailing mother Naseeb Kaur.
Gurmeet has tried several times before for parole, but he got this time ahead of polls.
Ram Rahim was convicted by a special CBI in Panchkula on August 25, 2017 in a rape case.
