Rahul Dravid Set To Take Over As Team India Coach

 

New Delhi: Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid is going to take over as the head coach of the Indian men’s National cricket team.

According to media reports, Dravid has agreed to the offer and likely to be appointed as coach after the 20-20 world cup.

He will replace present coach Ravi Shastri. The 48-year-old Dravid, one of the greatest ever to have played for India, has been in charge of the India A and U-19 set-up for the past six years and a lot of players such as Rishabh Pant, Avesh Khan, Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari, and Shubman Gill have come through the system prepared by him. He currently heads the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

A BCCI official said that Rahul has agreed to take over the position after president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah had a meeting with him recently.
