Punjab lifts internet ban in Punjab except in six districts as search for Amritpal Singh enters fourth day

Chandigarh: Mobile internet and SMS services will remain suspended in six districts of Punjab till 12 noon on March 23, while in the rest of the districts, the service will be restored at 12 noon today. These orders have been issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department.

According to an order issued by the Punjab government, internet and SMS services will remain suspended in some areas of Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Sangrur, Moga, Ajnala in Amritsar and Mohali.

The Punjab Police on Friday launched an operation against the activists of Waris Punjab De Punjab outfit. In order to maintain law and order in the state, the Punjab government has suspended internet services. Internet services were suspended in Punjab since Friday afternoon.
