Punjab doesn’t have water to give to other states, BJP passes resolution at executive meet

Chandigarh: The Punjab BJP executive passed a resolution saying Punjab does not have surplus river water to give to other states.

During this time, it was announced that if the BJP government is formed in Punjab, then the state will be made drug and corruption free and prosperous. With this, the two-day executive meeting of the Punjab BJP concluded here today.

Addressing a press conference, Punjab BJP president Ashwani Sharma said that a resolution was passed during the meeting making it clear that the river waters of the state cannot be shared with other states. This is for the first time that the Punjab BJP has officially taken a clear stand on river waters. He said that a comprehensive plan has been chalked out to make the state drug-free, under which a yatra will also be taken out to make people aware.

On some BJP leaders feeling neglected with the involvement of leaders of other political parties in the state unit, he said the party was now moving towards 23 to 117 assembly constituencies. The party has to make its presence felt in every constituency. That is why the BJP needs more like-minded leaders.

It will be a corruption-free and prosperous Punjab. He said the people were fed up with the AAP government in just a few months and they knew that all-round development of the state could only be done by the BJP.
