When PM Modi arrives for the inauguration of the temple, about 600 artists, saints and saints will chant mantras and chant conch shells. About 20 feet of Shivling has been made of thread at the main gate of the corridor, the corridor will be formally inaugurated by lifting the curtain from it.
What is Shri Mahakal Lok Pariyojana?
The Shri Mahakal Lok Project, which the PM will inaugurate, is special in many ways. The first phase will help the pilgrims to make their experience in the temple memorable by providing them world-class modern facilities. The objective of this project is to reduce congestion in the entire area and to give special emphasis on conservation and restoration of heritage structures.
Under the project, the temple complex will be expanded about seven times. The total cost of the entire project is around Rs 850 crore. The number of existing pilgrims to the temple, which is around 1.5 crore per annum, is expected to double. In view of that, this project was started. The development of this project has been planned in two phases.
What’s more special about this project?
Under this project, there are 108 pillars (pillars) in mahakal path which depict the anand tandava form (dance form) of Lord Shiva. Many religious idols depicting the life of Lord Shiva have been installed along the Mahakal path. The mural wall paintings along the path are based on the stories of Shiva Purana which include creation work, birth of Ganesha, Sati and Daksha stories etc.
Spread over 2.5 hectares, the plaza area is surrounded by a lotus pond and also has an idol of Shiva installed along with a fountain. The entire campus will be monitored round the clock by the Integrated Command and Control Centre with the help of artificial intelligence and surveillance cameras.
