PM Modi holds review meeting amid rising cases of Corona, asks to speed up genome sequencing

New Delhi: The central and state governments have become alert amid increasing cases of Covid-19. In view of this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a review meeting on Wednesday evening, during which detailed discussions were held on the rising cases of Corona and HN2 influenza virus.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi advised caution, caution. Modi called for increased laboratory surveillance, testing of all cases of severe deadly respiratory infection (SARI) and speeding up genome sequencing.

Home Minister Amit Shah, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, ICMR’s Rajiv Bahl, NITI Aayog’s VK Paul and others were present in the meeting.

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, 1134 new cases of corona virus have been registered in the country. After this, the number of active patients have increased to 7026.
