Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police today carried out checks and beefed up security at bus stands in the city, including ISBT Sector 43 and Sector 17, following a warning of a terror attack by security agencies in the Union Territory and Punjab.
Sources said security has been beefed up following a tip-off about a possible terror attack by Pakistan agencies on bus stands in Punjab and Chandigarh.
In view of the threat of a terrorist attack, a naka has been set up near the bus stand in Sector 43 and the police are checking suspicious vehicles.
