Chandigarh: Addressing the heads of government schools and education officers of Punjab education minister Meet Hayer on Tuesday said that the teachers will only focus on education and no other duties will be given to them in a bid to reform the education system.
He said that Aam Aadmi Party government has already started doing extraordinary work from the day one which successive governments used to do in last year of their governance before the election.
The Cabinet Minister also appreciated the work done by school heads and teachers in various schools of Punjab in improving the schools.
He said the works of teachers who do good work will be developed as role models. The education minister said the shortage of teachers and other staff in schools would be addressed soon.
