Chandigarh: Punjab Inspector General of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill said here today that Amritpal Singh, a Khalistan sympathiser and head of ‘Waris Punjab De’, is still absconding. Meanwhile, in a major action, action under the National Security Act (NSA) has been taken against the five arrested persons.
The four have been sent to Dibrugarh jail in Assam. The fifth person is Harjit Singh, who is a close relative of Amritpal. The IG said amritpal is also likely to be booked under the NSA after his arrest.
