Nitish Kumar ends alliance with BJP, to meet governor today to submit resignation

New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will submit his resignation to Governor Phagu Chauhan today. According to sources, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav may also accompany him at the time of his resignation.

The decision to resign was taken at a meeting of the JD(U) legislature board. Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister held a meeting with mlAs of his own party JD(U) to decide whether to continue or break the alliance with the BJP.

Senior party leaders have predicted explosive news soon. Supporters of Nitish Kumar have been alleging that the BJP is trying to create a rift in the JD(U) like in Maharashtra.

On the other hand, a meeting of RJD MLAs was convened by party leader Tejashwi Yadav at his mother Rabri Devi’s bungalow.

Meanwhile, Congress MLAs are also in Patna in view of the political developments in the state.
