NIA conducts raids in several states, including Punjab, against PFI cadre

Chandigarh: In a fresh crackdown against the cadre of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out search operations at dozens of locations in different parts of the country, including Punjab. During this period, the agency carried out searches and search operations at one place in Ludhiana in Punjab, 12 places in Bihar, two places in Uttar Pradesh and one place in Goa. The NIA is conducting raids at the Urdu market in Darbhanga in Bihar.

The Union Home Ministry had in September last year declared the PFI and other institutions associated with it illegal.
