NIA arrests man who attacked Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Deepak Ranga, the main shooter accused of attacking the Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali with a rocket grenade in May 2022. Deepak Ranga is a close associate of Canadian gangster-turned-terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa and Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda.

According to the NIA, apart from carrying out grenade attacks on the intelligence headquarters of Punjab Police, Deepal Ranga has been involved in several other violent incidents including murder. Deepak Ranga was constantly getting terrorist funds and logistical support from Rinda and Landa.

The incident was a major breach in the security system of the Punjab Police. Reaching RPGs in a crowded area is extremely fatal. Weapons reached to terrorists are being delivered through drug smugglers.
