Nasal vaccine by iNCOVACC fixes price, to be rolled out in January in India

New Delhi: A nasal vaccine iNNOVACC Innovac has been approved to be administrated to the people in the country. This nasal vaccine is being made available through the CoWIN app.

From the government, its price will be Rs 800 in private hospitals and Rs 325 per dose will be received by government hospitals from the company, officials said on Tuesday.

In the first week of January, people can take vaccine from hospitals.

This will be India’s first sight vaccine which can be taken as a booster dose, its trial has been completed. Its trial was done in 14 places of the country in which 3100 people participated.

In early December, Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine was allowed to be brought to the market, this vaccine has been designed in such a way that it can reach the common people for less money. The nasal vaccine has been named iNCOVACC.

The company is claiming that if the government buys a large quantity of nasal vaccine, the central and state governments will be given Rs 325 per dose. Also, the company has claimed that this vaccine was done in three phase trials, which were successful. This vaccine can be given to heterologous i.e. any person who has taken both doses of Covishield or Covaxin. This nasal iNCOVACC vaccine will be effective on both types of people. It can be given as a booster dose.
