MP Navneet Rana, MLA husband Ravi get bail in sedition case

New Delhi: Independent MP from Amravati Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana on Wednesday have been granted bail by the sessions court in sedition case for reciting Hanuman Chalisa in front of CM Uddhav Thackeray’s house.

The Rana couple got bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 from the court. At the same time, slogans of Jai Shri Ram are also being raised.

The court has also laid down several conditions for the couple while granting them bail. According to the court order, the Rana couple cannot talk to the media. They cannot tamper with evidence by using their political influence. The court also directed that the couple will not commit any such offence again. Apart from this, the police will give them a notice 24 hours in advance, after which they will have to go to the police station to give an attendance. If they commit such an offence again, the bail will be cancelled.

The couple would come out of jail this evening.
