New Delhi: German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has introduced the first luxurious luxury electric car made in Pune (India) under the Make in India program. The special thing about this car is that it has been manufactured in Pune and it is the first place outside Germany where this car has been manufactured.
The luxury electric car (EQS 580) made in India has a battery-pack of 107.8kWh with dual electric motor. It has the ability to produce 523 PS of power and 855 Nm of torque. This car has the ability to run 857 km (certified by ARAI) in a single charge, and the EQS 580 can be enjoyed up to 260 km in just 15 minutes of fast charge. At the same time, this car is capable of catching the speed of 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds.
It can run at a top-speed of 210 kmph. In this Mercedes-Benz Luxury Electric Car, the company gave 9 airbags with special attention to safety.
The price of this car is 1.55 crores (ex-showroom). Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was also present at the event, said, “It is an honour for the country to manufacture this car in Pune, and we want more and more companies to come here and make cars and be part of this green revolution.”
