Manish Sisodia sent to five-day CBI remand in Delhi liquor policy case

New Delhi: The court has remanded Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to CBI till March 4. In the Delhi liquor policy case, the investigating agency had sought 5 days custody of Sisodia, which was accepted by the court. Earlier, Sisodia was produced before the Rouse Avenue court at 3:10 pm on Monday.

After a hearing of about 30 minutes, the court reserved its decision on the CBI’s demand for remand.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday after eight hours of questioning. The probe agency had said that Sisodia was not answering the questions correctly. Therefore, their remand is necessary.

In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party workers protested outside the party office. They also clashed with the security forces. There was also a scuffle between women activists and the women police force.

Police warn AAP workers to disperse. Many leaders and activists were also detained. The police also entered the AAP office.
