New York: The mystery behind the suicide of Indian-origin woman Mandeep Kaur in New York is still looming as the US police’s investigation is still underway.
In the meantime, her family in India was left waiting for the body to arrive, while on the other hand, it was the accused husband who quietly cremated Mandeep abroad.
However, the Indian community in New York kept raising the issue before the New York Police repeatedly when and how the body would be sent to India.
In return, The New York Police kept on dilly-dallying by telling people that the investigation was underway. New York Police claim that they have not violated the law by handing over Mandeep’s body to her husband under US laws, while Mandeep Kaur’s family members in India are alleging collusion of the American police behind it.
