Chandigarh: A supplementary challan was presented in a local court today by the SIT led by ADGP LK Yadav in the Kotkapura firing case of Faridkot. Earlier, a 7,000-page challan was submitted by the SIT on February 24. While today the SIT has presented a 2400-page supplementary invoice.
In the challan submitted on February 24, the SIT had named Sukhbir Singh Badal and the then DGP Sumedh Singh Saini as conspirators in the Kotkapura firing case. While former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was accused for aiding the conspiracy.
Apart from this, the then CP Ludhiana Paramraj Singh Daumranangal, the then SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma, the then DIG Amar Singh Chahal, the then SSP Faridkot Sukhmander Singh Mann and the then SHO Kotkapura Gurdeep Singh were also accused in the said challan
Clause 4 of the challan, which was submitted today, includes sanction under Section 197 of the CrPC from the Punjab government to initiate prosecution against the accused. This chargesheet is supported by relevant facts, documents, sanction order and CFSL report.
