‘Kaali’ movie poster draws flak, FIR registers against director Leena

New Delhi: A case has been registered against filmmaker Leena Manimekalai at police stations in UP and Delhi.

She has been accused of hurting religious sentiments. An FIR has been lodged at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow and Gonda in UP, while the Delhi Police has also taken action against the makers of the film. The controversy about this film is constantly increasing and the controversy has spiked, after in the poster of the film, mother Kali is shown smoking a cigarette.

Apart from this, a flag of the LGBT community is also shown in his hand. The IFSO unit of Delhi Police has registered an FIR under sections 153A and 295A in the case.

The IFSO unit has registered a case of instigation in the name of caste and religion. At the same time, an investigation is underway on the complaint received by the Delhi district police and if needed, the filmmaker will be contacted through email or notice and interrogated, police officials said.
