Jammu Police cancels arms licences of Amritpal Singh’s two associates

Chandigarh: Action has now been initiated against the associates of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh. After The Punjab Police, the Jammu Police has taken major action and arms licences of two of Amritpal’s associates have been cancelled. These include Varinder Singh and Talwinder Singh. Both are said to be retired employees.

Earlier, the police had detained a close aide of Amritpal in Amritsar, whose LoC was already issued. After the Ajnala incident, all political parties have been raising their voice that action should be taken against Amritpal Singh and his associates. Earlier, the license of a youth from Faridkot was cancelled.

While the process of canceling the arms licenses of nine others has been started in Punjab. Two of these licences were made in Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, on the recommendation of the Punjab Police, the Jammu Police has taken action into this matter.
