Chandigarh: Congress MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh, who was part of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, passed away due to a heart attack. Chaudhary Santokh Singh’s health suddenly deteriorated during his visit to India. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Chaudhary Santokh Singh was an MP from Jalandhar and was busy preparing for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the Congress workers about the Bharat jodo yatra which was to enter Jalandhar district today.
Hearing the news of Chaudhary Santokh Singh’s death, Rahul Gandhi has left for the hospital. As soon as the sad news was heard, the journey was halted.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed deep grief over the untimely death of Chaudhary Santokh Singh and termed it as an irreparable loss.
