New Delhi: A masterful display of play from Virat Kohli and a mediocre effort other team mates summed up India’s batting on Day One of series-deciding Test match at Newlands, Cape Town, on Tuesday.
India won the toss and decided to bat first. Team managed to score 223 all out in 77.3 overs.
Kohli scored 79 runs in 201-ball , that included 12 fours and a six, while Cheteshwar Pujara also showed good skills with quicker 43 off 77 balls knock.
Meanwhile, India bowlers get a quick breakthrough as on the fourth delivery of Jaspreet Bumrah’s second over got a thick edge of Elgar’s bat, flew to first slip and South Africa lost their best batsman even before they could settle down.
