New Delhi: The world’s most populous country is no longer China, but our own country, India. Earlier this year, international experts had predicted that India would have the most populous country in 2023.
Now the latest data from the United Nations Population Fund has confirmed this. Statistics show that India is now the most populous country in the world.
India now has around three million more people than China and the country’s population has crossed 140 crore.
The birth rate in China has come down and it was recorded in Manfi this year. The State of The World Population Report 2023, states that India now has a population of 1.42 billion 8.6 million, while China’s population is 1.42 billion 5.7 million. There is a difference of 29 lakhs between the two.
