If CM Channi can’t provide security cover to PM, how will he manage Punjab’s security, says Amit Shah

Ludhiana: Holding his maiden rally ahead of polls in Punjab, Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday lashed out at Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security lapse and said that how can he secure the state if he cannot protect the PM of the country.

Addressing rally in support of BJP alliance candidates at Daresi ground here, while wearing a saffron turban and a shawl, he began his speech by raising ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogan and said, “CM Channi is dreaming to form Congress’s government again in Punjab. But, A CM who cannot provide a secure journey to its PM, can he provide security to Punjab.”

The Union ministry was referring to PM Modi’s security breach incident during his visit on January 5.

He also assured to make Punjab drug free and waive off farmers loan after forming the BJP government in the state.

Launching fierce attack on AAP supremo, Shah said that if Kejriwal comes to power in Punjab, he will release all terrorists.

He said that Punjab is a border state and it needs a serious, sensitive and decisive government, it is no comedian’s job.
