New Delhi: In a shocking incident, two persons broke into a tailor’s shop in Dhanmandi police station area of Udaipur and slit his throat and killed him over his social media post supporting suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.
The two accused also released a video of the incident on social media.
After this the sensation spread. Curfew has been imposed in seven police station areas of Udaipur immediately till further orders and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the public to maintain peace.
The NIA is likely to investigate the murder of Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Sources said the Union Home Ministry has sent a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to Udaipur. According to sources, the case may be handed over to the NIA for investigation once a case is registered under the anti-terror law, the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. An official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that prima facie it looked like a terror attack.
