Four roommates arrested for murder of Punjabi University student

Chandigarh: The Punjab Police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of B.Tech student Navjot Singh.

One of the accused hit Navjot Singh alias Prince, a resident of village Sangatpura, with a knife in the thigh and stomach, killing him. All the killers had escaped after committing the crime near the engineering department located on the campus.

Shocking revelations have been made in the police investigation. Navjot’s murder was carried out just because of a minor dispute over paying the electricity bill.

Actually, the 4 murderers who were arrested by the police are all friends of Navjot. All of them are studying at Patiala University while staying in PG together.

He had a dispute with Navjot alias Prince over the distribution of the electricity bill amount among all. It led to a dispute between them. Then on February 27, the four accused reached Punjabi University and killed Navjot, police said.
