Five arrested for killing gangster Raju Theth in Rajasthan

New Delhi: Five persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of gangster Raju Theth outside his house in Rajasthan’s Sikar district, police said.

During the firing, a man named Tarachand was also killed, who had gone to the area to meet his daughter, who studies in a coaching institute. The assailants suspected that he was an accomplice of Theth.

The assailants snatched Tarachand’s car and fled from the spot, police said. Police arrested Manish Jat and Vikram Gujjar, residents of Sikar, and Satish Kumhar, Jatin Meghwal and Navin Meghwal from Haryana, DGP Umesh Mishra said in Jaipur.

He said that the police personnel who caught the accused will be honoured. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that the five accused in Saturday’s murder in Sikar have been arrested along with weapons and vehicles.

He said the accused would be given the harshest possible punishment. Hours after the killing, a speeding car was spotted by some people in Jhunjhunu district, who claimed that the car riders had opened fire on some labourers who were repairing the road.
