Vadodara: Though the BJP has officially distanced itself from the Shiv Sena’s internal tug of war, rebel leader Eknath Shinde, who is camping in Guwahati, and former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis have reportedly held the meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at an undisclosed location in Vadodara on Thursday or Friday night.
According to Vadodara airport sources, two chartered and BSF aircraft landed on Friday night.
A chartered aircraft had flown from Delhi to Vadodara, which had brought Eknath Shinde and another chartered flight Devendra Fadnavis had landed from Mumbai. Before these two flights landed, Amit Shah came in a BSF plane and went to the Circuit House. Late in the night, Shah along with at least security personnel moved to an undisclosed location outside the Circuit House, where a meeting between the three took place.
Sources said the meeting lasted for two hours where every aspect was discussed. Even the legal aspects were discussed sources said two chartered flights took off before 5 pm.
One plane left for Mumbai and the other for Delhi. Shah stayed as he was scheduled to attend the Kevadia Colony event on Saturday.
