Disproportionate assets case: Vigilance summons former minister Brahm Mohindra

Chandigarh: The Vigilance has summoned former Punjab minister Brahm Mohindra.

According to the information, on February 24, Mohindra will be questioned at the Vigilance Office in Mohali in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

The Vigilance Bureau investigation has revealed that Mohindra and his family members have spent more money than their known sources of income in the last six years.

According to sources, the Vigilance has also summoned revenue officials to check the records of Mahindra’s farmhouse and other properties in New Chandigarh.

The vigilance is also probing the role of an officer posted with the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), who had worked with Mohindra as an officer on special duty.

In the Captain Amarinder Singh-led government, Mahendra served as minister for health, local bodies, medical education and parliamentary affairs till 2022.

He also openly supported Captain Amarinder Singh during political battle between Captain Amarinder Singh and PCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu.
