Dera chief came out of jail on parole fourth time in 14 months

Chandigarh: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan, who is serving a sentence in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail in connection with the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chattrapati and Ranjit, has come out of jail on parole for the fourth time in 14 months.

The Dera chief has been granted this parole for 40 days after 54 days. A large number of police personnel were deployed near the jail on the occasion.

According to sources, his cavalcade left for Baghpat in UP, where he will stay at the Barnawa Ashram.

Meanwhile, Sikh organizations have lodged a strong protest against Dera head’s parole and lashed out at centre government.

They said that Ram Rahim, who is accused of heinous crimes, are being parole but Sikh were languishing in jails even after completing their sentences.
