New Delhi: The country has achieved yet another milestone today, crossing the mark of administering 200 crore doses under the vaccination programme against COVID-19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the achievement and said the war against COVID-19 has been further strengthened.
Modi tweeted, “India has created history again. Congratulations to all Indians for crossing the special mark of 200 crore doses of the vaccine. Proud of those who have contributed in making the country’s vaccination programme a success.
Congratulating the people for this achievement, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that the country has set a new record by achieving the target of administering 200 crore doses of the vaccine in just 18 months.
According to the health ministry data, 98 per cent of the adult population has received at least one dose of the vaccine while 90 per cent are fully vaccinated.
