Bengaluru: Biological E. Ltd, an Indian vaccine maker, said that it has received approval for its Covid-19 vaccine as an emergency use in the country for children aged 12 to 18.
With this, Corbevax, has become the third vaccine approved for use in children aged 12 and above in the country as earlier, Zydus Cadila’s DNA shot ZyCoV-D and homegrown player Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin were approved vaccines.
India is yet administrating vaccine to children aged 15 and above and over 76 million children between 15 and 17 have been inoculated mainly using Covaxin.
