Chandigarh: DGP of Punjab. V.K. Bhawra’s application to go on leave for 2 months has been accepted by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today.
DGP Bhavra will go on leave from July 5. At the same time, the government has intensified the search for a new police chief and soon the new DGP of Punjab would be announced.
Earlier, DGP Bawra, 1987-batch IPS officer, has applied for central deputation.
