Chandigarh-Mohali border violence case: Police register FIR against 150 unidentified persons, including 7 organisers

Chandigarh: Rashtriya Insaaf Morcha leaders and Sikh activists have been staging a sit-in at the Mohali-Chandigarh border for nearly a month now demanding the release of Sikh prisoners.

Sikh organisations marched towards the official residence of chief minister Bhagwant Mann yesterday. During this time, there was a fierce clash between Sikh organizations and the police, due to which the atmosphere became very tense.

Police restored to lathi charge and a clash was erupted between protesters and police forces. Following this, an FIR has been registered by the Chandigarh Police in connection with the violence case.

The Chandigarh Police has registered an FIR against 150 unidentified persons, including seven organisers of the Rashtriya Insaaf Morcha. A case has been registered at sector 36 police station in Chandigarh.

The case has been registered following a complaint by SHO Davinder Singh. Apart from this, an FIR has also been registered at Mataur police station in Mohali.
